In using a professional nanny recruitment agency like Executive Nannies we advise, guide and support you throughout the whole process of seeking employment. We endeavour to find you the Family that are most suited to your childcare experience, work requirements and most importantly – your personality.

 

To become registered with Executive Nannies, a potential Nanny must be a minimum of 21 years old and have 2 years continuous professional childcare experience. It is beneficial, but not essential to have a qualification in a childcare related field – although we do demand that all of our candidates hold an up-to-date First Aid qualification.

 

These are the main types of qualifications (but not limited to) that are available for a Nanny to hold:

  • NNEB – Nursery Nurse Examination Board
  • FETAC – Level 5 in Childcare
  • FETAC – Level 5 Special Needs Education Certificate
  • FETAC – Level 6 Special Needs Diploma
  • MONTESSORI – Montessori teaching Diploma
  • CITY & GUILDS – Certificate in Childcare
  • NCEA – National Council for Educational Awards – Certificate in Childcare
  • NCVA – National Council for Vocational Awards – Certificate in Childcare

 

There are many Nannies that have had little or no formal training. Many of them began their careers as Childminders or Au Pairs and through experience have graduated their way to the highest level of -
A Grade Nanny Status. These Nannies have a proven track record in Nannying and have countless amazing references that will account for their loyal service in Nannying. These Nannies will have all the necessary skills centred on the care of the children in the domestic environment, and the ability to follow parental direction.

 

To be able to register with the Agency without a recognised Childcare qualification, a professional Nanny must have a minimum of 3-5 years continual experience in the home environment.

 

When you make your first contact with the Agency, one of our experienced recruiters will be able to have a chat with you, and let you know there and then if you would be suitable to come in for interview with us. You will be asked to send us in an up-to-date CV, making sure to put any and all relevant childcare work history (that includes the names and ages of the Family that you have been babysitting every weekend for the past 5+ years – it is amazing how many candidates don’t put this on their CV).

 

On the day of the interview you are required to bring the following with you, otherwise the interview will not go ahead as planned.

 

The following documentation is required for interview with Executive Nannies:

 

  • 2 written references (related to Childcare)
  • 2 verbal references (related to Childcare)
  • A copy of all qualification certificates/diplomas
  • An up-to-date First Aid Certificate
  • A passport or full drivers license for ID purposes
  • A passport size photograph for your file within the Agency.

 

Upon an extensive interview with us, and when all references have been verbally checked, we will then verify with you that you are registered with the Agency. At this point we will then discuss various positions that we feel would be suitable to put you forward for.

 

Once you are placed with your Family, contact with us does not stop there.


In most cases you will go for a first and second interview with a Family before an offer of employment is made. Once a salary and starting date had been agreed upon, we will draw up contracts between you and the family that will cover all necessary terms. Once you are placed with your Family, contact with us does not stop there. We will continue to support you through the duration of your contract, and our Nanny advice centre is always available to you, should any difficulties or problems arise that you need help with. We feel that our dedicated team in Executive Nannies are best placed to advise you because we have all come from a childcare background, and have decades of Nanny experience between us.
