NANNIES

We offer permanent and temporary contracts to Nannies, as well as Emergency and Holiday cover:

  A Holiday Nanny will provide 24 hour cover, six days per week for the duration of a family's holiday. Salaries for holiday Nannies vary EUR500-700 per week.

A permanent post for a Nanny is a one year contract. We also provide two types of temporary posts – the first is a temporary short term cover based on a 1 week to 3 month basis with no contract being drawn up due to the nature of the position e.g. Emergency Care. The other temporary post can be contractual for 3 months or 6 months, with a view to extend to a one year permanent contract if required when the temporary contract finishes.

The salary requested is dependent on:

• Is the position live in or live out?
• The number of children and their ages
• The amount of experience/skills the Nanny has
• The number and quality of references
• Full license driver and own car
• Specialised care skills

Regardless of qualifications, experience is the biggest factor in a Nanny's salary. The more experience a Nanny has behind her, you will be guaranteed that his/her references will be of the highest calibre. However, taking all the varying factors into account, salaries for an Executive Nanny can range from EUR500-1000 gross per week. This is based on a permanent role working five days a week, and full time hours, which would be a minimum of 39 hours – to a maximum of 50 hours in any given week.

MATERNITY NURSES

Within Ireland there is no single definitive qualification for a Maternity Nurse. At Executive Nannies it is more often the case that highly experienced Nannies, that have extensive experience working with newborns, make the transition into becoming Maternity Nurses in the later stage of their careers. We also have RGN's and midwives on our books that have chosen Maternity Nursing as their career path.

The length of your stay as a Maternity Nurse is dependent on many factors, such as first time parents and multiple births to special care mothers or babies. A Maternity Nurse will usually work a 12-hour night shift from 8pm-8am or similar. Maternity Nurses can also be booked for 24 hour care. Bookings for maternity night cover can start anywhere from 3 nights and the usual booking is for 3-4 weeks for full 24 hour cover. Bookings can be extended to 3-4 months depending on the family's needs. A Maternity Nurse can work between 1-6 nights a week and is entitled to a full 24 hours off during a 7-day period.

As a Maternity nurse, you will be self-employed and are responsible for your own tax and insurance. Maternity Nurses are paid hourly and the rate is dependent on the number of babies.

SLEEP NURSE and/or BEHAVIOURAL SPECIALIST

At Executive Nannies we have highly experienced maternity nurses and childcarers who can provide parents with the tools and methods to get children sleeping through the night and behaving in a calm and rational manner.

Sleep Nurses and Behavioural Specialists understand how a family functions as a unit and the importance of integrating new children into that unit. Their method differs from child to child depending on their individual needs, and the needs of the parents. Their methods are based on coaching parents into providing their child with a structured and consistent routine.

The Sleep Nurse or Behavioural Specialist will earn EUR30 per hour
